![]() ![]() I dropped in the BIOS and set to boot from the DVD drive. I then let the disc (forgive my ignorance) and restarted the PC. I could not click on an option to delete/reformat my partitions and thus abandoned the process. To make changes to partitions, restart Windows from the installation disc Load the driver (I have no idea what is this option) However, I was told that I should be able to achieve a COMPLETE clean install delete partitions to force the OS to reformat and recreate the C: partition. Things seem to be ok on my PC, now that I've done this, and I don't take BSoD right now. I ran this and finished installing fine but did not format my drive and it change named my windows to windows.old. I couldn't find an option to delete my partitions and perform a new installation. This is why last week, I took the plunge and decided to reinstall Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using my UPGRADE disc (the disc is not FULL version) The first time I ran this 'upgrade', I made the mistake of selecting the option UPGRADE instead of using the CUSTOM option.įor some time since I've done the 'upgrade' I got BSOD problems including caused by video and WebCam drivers. I decided to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit o/s Originally, I had a Windows Vista 64 - bit o/s office. How can I clean installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using a upgrade disc?
